In order to continue to provide a superior hosting environment,
FreeRun Technologies made the decision to move the physical hosting location of our servers to AT&T, effective mid October, 2001.
After careful evaluation of five different top rated co-location facilities, the technical
team at FreeRun decided in favor of AT&T.
High-Speed Internet Access
AT&T was consistently rated by matrix.net as the top performing transit ISP during the last two months that we evaluated move options.
As an example, on Friday Oct 5, 2001 AT&T was the top performing provider in all
three categories measured (100% reachability, 0% packet loss and 34.8 ms
average latency across 293 different location across the world).
FreeRun moved the servers to AT&T the weekend Oct 13 - 14, 2001.
The entire conversion took approximately five days. During that time all client
sites remained available to the surfing public.
