AgraQuest is a fast-growing biotechnology firm head-quartered in Davis, CA. Since 1995, AgraQuest
has proven that the natural world is an untapped source of
new products. After discovering and screening over 23,000 microorganisms, AgraQuest has developed and commercialized
a line of innovative, effective, natural
products for pest management.
The company's innovation is well recognized... it is the fifth-fastest growing company in the Sacramento
area, it received a 2003 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award, and it continues to attract significant
funding.
Prior to our intervention, the AgraQuest site had grown organically into an unmanageable tangle of code,
content and images. Our challenge was to rein in the content within a comprehensible structure and design
that reflected the company's feisty innovation. The hummingbird image, though controversial in a conservative
agribusiness-dominated industry, reflects the company's nimble and aggressive spirit. It was selected over
two, more conservative designs. Internally, the site features extensive but easily navigated product information
and an online store to purchase the Serenade product.
The AgraQuest site shows how a small, fast-growing biotechnology firm can differentiate itself from other
companies, solidify and extend its brand, and provide a sustaining Web experience for investors, customers,
employees and other visitors
