Privacy and Anti-Spam Policy
For each visit to a page on one of our regional web
sites (WineCountry.com, NapaValley.com etc.) as well as the sites
we host, our web servers automatically record the domain name or
IP address, but not the e-mail address of the surfer.
The only way we or our clients obtain your email and or physical
address is if you enter it in a form.
If you do enter your email address on a form, it will be used to:
deliver information you requested; and/or to improve our services
to you. Your email address will not be sold to other organizations
for commercial purposes. We may offer you the opportunity to receive
special promotions from us and other companies. If you elect to
receive such offers (or do not indicate a preference not to receive
such information), we will use the information provided by you
to send those offers.
Freerun Technologies, Inc. (FTI) and all related
network websites and affiliates shall own the usage information
and traffic patterns specific to use of said websites and applications
employed on those websites, which could include personally identifying
information. Freerun Technologies shall have the right to use such
data as reasonably necessary to perform its obligations and to
improve its services. In addition, FTI shall have the right to
collect, use and distribute said data in the aggregate so long
as any aggregated data provided to any third party does not contain
personally identifiable information regarding any end user.
We may also use postal address information provided
by you to send, among other things, product catalogs and magazine
offers. Additionally, we may use information about your activities
on our website(s), your purchases, and your computer equipment
to improve the performance of our website, and to customize the
content and layout of our website. We may supplement information
collected from the website with similar information obtained from
our affiliates, companies with whom we have marketing or other
business relationships, and other third party sources. Postal address
information that you submit in conjunction with any print publications
requested through the use of the website network may be shared
with WineCountry.com advertisers, our affiliates, and other companies
with whom we have marketing or other business relationships.
We are totally against spam.
If you receive unsolicited email from any of our clients, please
notify us at abuse@freerun.com. Include the offending email with
all the headers intact. Please be aware that it is not
uncommon for spammers to hide behind someone else's email account,
as well as use mail servers that they do not own.
Can I “opt-out” of
receiving e-mail promotions?
Absolutely. You may choose not to receive promotional emails
or newsletters from us by following the “unsubscribe” instructions
in the specific e-mail from which you wish to opt-out. We will
respond to a request made pursuant to these methods as promptly
as practicable. Even if you elect to stop receiving promotional
e-mails from us, we may still contact you to tell you important
information about us or our website(s).
Newletters and emails may contain information and offers from
third party sponsors. Even if you have directly communicated to
these third-party sponsors that you do not wish to receive promotional
communications from them, you are deemed still interested in receiving
winecountry.com and affiliates newsletters and emails knowing that
they may or may not contain information from companies with whom
you have opted out.
Can WineCountry.com change our Privacy Policy?
Yes. We reserve the right to change this Policy in order to address
future developments of WineCountry.com, its website(s) or changes
in industry or legal trends. Depending on the nature of the change,
we will either announce the change on the home page of the website(s);
provide notice via e-mail; or take other action as we deem appropriate
under the circumstances. By continuing to use the website(s)
following an announcement of any change, you will be deemed to
have agreed to such change. If you do not agree with the terms
of this Policy, as it may be amended from time to time, in whole
or part, please do not continue using our website(s).
We have the following exceptions to these policies: We will release
specific information about you or your account to comply with any
valid legal inquiry or process such as a search warrant, subpoena,
statute or court order. We will also release specific information
in special cases, such as if there is an attempted breach of the
security of the websites, or a physical or property threat to you
or others. We may also transfer user information, including personally
identifiable information, in connection with a corporate merger,
consolidation, the sale of related assets or corporate division
or other fundamental corporate change.
Further, the information you enter when making a purchase or
an online donation will be shared with payment processors, financial
gateways, and your credit card company to authorize credit card
payments. Such information may also be shared with necessary third
parties solely for the purpose or carrying out the transactions.
Please note that if you give out personal information online
-- for example, on one of our public forums such as the message
boards -- that information can be collected and used by third parties.
Although we strive to protect our users' privacy, we cannot guarantee
the security of information you post in these forums. You disclose
such information at your own risk.
