How to configure Outlook Express 5

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.


  2.  
  3. Click on the Mail tab.

  4.  
  5. Select your email account in the list.

  6.  
  7. Click the Properties button.


  8.  
  9. Click on the General tab.

  10.  
  11. In the Name box, type your full name.

  12.  
  13. In the E-mail address box, type your email address.


  14.  
  15. Click on the Servers tab.

  16.  
  17. In the Incoming mail (POP3) box, type the POP3 mail server name specific to your domain (i.e. mail.freerun.com for Freerun).

  18.  
  19. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box, type the SMTP mail server name specific to your domain (i.e. smtp.pacbell.net for pacbell).

  20.  
  21. In the Account name box, type your username.

  22.  
  23. In the Password box, type your password.

  24. Click on the Connection tab.

  25.  
  26. Check the box next to Always connect to this account using.

  27.  
  28. Click the down arrow on the drop-down list and choose your connection.

  29.  
  30. Click the OK button.


  31.  
  32. Click the Close button.

    You have successfully configured Outlook Express.
