- Open Outlook 98.
- From the Tools menu, choose Services.

- Click the Add button.

- Select Internet Email in the list.
- Click the OK button.

- Click on the Services tab.
- Select Internet E-mail in the list.
- Click the Properties button.

- In the Mail Account field, type a name for your email account (i.e. Freerun).
- In the Name field, type your full name.
- In the E-mail field, type your email address.

- Click on the Servers tab.
- In the Incoming mail (POP3) field, type the POP3 mail server name specific to your domain (i.e. mail.freerun.com for Freerun).
- In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field, type the SMTP mail server name specific to your domain (i.e. smtp.pacbell.net for pacbell).
- In the Account name field, type your username.
- In the Password field, type your password.

- Click on the Connection tab.
- Click the Connect using my phone line radio button in the Connection area.
- Click the down arrow on the Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection drop-down list and choose your connection.
- Click the OK button.

- Click the OK button.

You have successfully configured Outlook 98. Your changes will take effect once you log off and restart Outlook 98.
