Freerun Technologies, Inc. is an Internet and technology services company headquartered in Napa, California. The company has the distinction of being one of the earliest website development firms having built sites for ourselves and our clients since our founding in 1994.

Freerun Technologies' WineCountry.com site is the largest "niche" portal of its type, providing focused information and services for the consumer who seeks to stay informed on all matters involving wine and culinary tourism.

We also provide high-end Internet technology, design, advertising and marketing services to clients primarily in the event and destination management, wine, and hospitality industries.

Our Name & Our Philosophy

"Freerun" is a winemaking term that we adapted because it fits our self-image of being the first and the best. When wine is drained from the vat without being pressed, it goes straight into barrels as freerun wine (vin de goutte). It's the good stuff! The remaining pulp, after draining, is pressed to squeeze out the press wine (vin de presse). The pressed wine tends to be dark, harsh and unpalatable, and has to be mixed with freerun wine to produce something you can drink.

"Le Goût de Terroir" means "the taste of the place." We're here in Napa by conscious choice. We feel the location infuses our work and allows us to achieve a harmonious balance between work and play.
